Los Angeles based artist Laura Cherry made the trip across the country to Clermont in July. Her paintings will hang in the main house at Clermont for the upcoming exhibit Clermont Forum II, opening to the public April 12th and running until May 31. This exhibit is curated by the Rotating History Project in partnership with the Clermont Foundation and the Virginia Department of Historic Resources.
About the Artist:Laura Cherry spends most days in the Photography Archives of a Museum studying tactile analogue evidences, & their elusive digital replications. Her work has been featured in FiberArts Magazine, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the National Museum of Dentistry, Time & Space Gallery. Remnants of her work appear in numerous private collections belonging to science professionals, crime-sleuths, and research psychiatrists.
